API Senior Fellow Rachel Blackmon Bryars has spoken out during the past two weeks about a story she said she has rarely shared, mostly out of fear of embarrassing her oldest daughter. However, after watching the new movie “Unplanned” together and receiving her daughter’s heartfelt encouragement to speak out in defense of life, Bryars shared her personal unplanned pregnancy story at the recent public hearing regarding the controversial Alabama bill that would significantly restrict abortion in Alabama and then at a recent gathering in Wetumpka.
