Ask Sen. Britt: Empower Parents. Pass the App Store Accountability Act!

Congress is considering the App Store Accountability Act, which will empower parents and protect kids online by requiring app stores to obtain parental approval before Alabama children can download apps.

However, instead of taking accountability, app stores are trying to push the so-called “Parents” Over Platforms Act, which would let Alabama kids lie about their age and would not require any parental oversight or approval. In reality, the Parents Over Platforms Act would keep Platforms – not Parents – in charge.

Alabama has already passed the App Store Accountability Act, and now we need Congress to act. 83% of Alabama parents want to approve what apps their kids can download. Take the time below to thank Sen. Britt for always standing up for Alabama children and ask for her help to ensure Congress also passes the App Store Accountability Act!
