We, the Alabama Policy Institute (API), believe that the First Amendment requires American acceptance of a culture of faith rather than a culture void of religion in the public square. American values don’t demand freedom from religion, but the freedom to practice religion. Thus, we’ve partnered with RFIA to empower individuals and communities to restore cherished religious traditions, celebrate religious freedom, and take faith into action locally.
Bringing Faith Back to the Public Square
Since the landmark 2022 Supreme Court decision in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, Americans have renewed opportunities to restore faith in public life.
In 2025, First Liberty Institute continued leading the charge to Restore Faith in America, building a nationwide network of FaithBlazers who take action locally and statewide.
RFIA, in partnership with the Alabama Policy Institute, is helping believers take meaningful steps to reclaim the presence of faith in their communities.

The American concept of separation of church and state doesn’t prevent expressions of faith in the public square. Our culture of fear of faith celebration in public should be transformed into a culture of faith. With this partnership, API and RFIA aim to push Alabama to reclaim the space where faith and freedom meet. Every initiative brings us closer to a state and nation where expressions of faith are visible and celebrated.
