In 2019, Alabama passed the nation’s first post-Roe ban of elective abortion. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned by the United States Supreme Court, elective abortion is illegal in our state; the lives of thousands of Alabamians will be saved. Elected officials should honor the Constitutional Amendment passed overwhelmingly by Alabama voters defending human life in 2018 by rejecting any attempts to weaken Alabama’s ban on abortion and favoring bills that incentivize adoption.
